We started our trip on Friday by going to the Guadalupe Mountain National Park, which is in Texas. Went on a couple little hikes in the park to see some ruins of a mail stop on the Butterfield Overland Mail Route. Then we went to the Frijole Ranch which is old farm house/museum of what life was like on the ranch in the late 1800's. I think Lilly has inherited her love for history from Nate because she just eats stuff like museums up. She was really good in the Museum and the guide was so impressed with how good she was that they gave her a Junior Ranger badge and book. We then went on to Carlsbad and stayed the night then went to the Caverns on Saturday morning.
The Caverns were amazing. There are two ways go get into the caves. There is an elevator that can take you straight to the Big Room (which is at the bottom) or there is the natural entrance which is a 1 1/4 mile hike, down 79 stories to the Big Room. We ventured to take the hike and Lilly did really well. It really helped that there was so much to look at on the way down and although she did get tired at the end, she had a lot of fun and told everybody in primary the next day about going to the caves.
Here are some pictures of our latest adventure there are lots of them.

The Lions Tail
Dolls Theater
Lilly got so excited when she saw this sign. If you didn't know, she loves Tinkerbell and all things fairy-ish
Lilly thought these looked like party hats
We have a ton more pictures of inside the caves but I won't post them all. We had so much fun on this trip.
